The BEST Primary Grade and BEST Upper Grade Class, in Attendance for that week are acknowledged as the WINNERS and will be awarded with an Attendance Trophy. They proudly display and house the trophy in their class for that week. During Online Learning, the BEST Classrooms with attendance for that week will be acknowledged here on NHE Counseling Corner and NHE Class Dojo.
School-wide Celebration for Attendance
“Perfect Attendance” Every time a class has ALL their classmates present & on-time they can color a letter from “Perfect Attendance”. Once the class colors ALL the letters of “Perfect Attendance” they receive a “Celebration”.
Individual Hawks Acknowledgement
Monthly acknowledgement to each Hawk, that comes to school everyday and on-time. Acknowledgement via Character Counts Assembly, posting on NHE Counseling Corner, and NHE Class Dojo.

Chronic Absenteeism (missing more than 10% of days enrolled for any reason) is the single strongest predictor of dropping out before graduation.
Students who drop out are more likely to be poor, unemployed, have substance abuse problems, be teen parents and be involved with the law.
