Paddle for Peace in a nonprofit organization that believes the ocean is a place of healing, empowerment, and connection.
They work to ensure every child has access to it by creating equitable access to surfing, marine science, and ocean conservation. Through their free programs, they foster confidence, leadership, and a lifelong bond with the sea.
Paddle for Peace offered their Coastal Ninja Academy program to our 4th and 5th grade students. This program combines in class learning with hands on experiences, teaching students about marine biology, ocean pollution, and water safety in class for 4 weeks before culminating in a beach day field trip.
Our Community Schools Grant funds will be use to pay for the buses for the fieldtrip.
Our 2026-27 Student Council is funded by two seperate Fund Requests. The 1st is to pay the advisor for the time they spent planning to get our Student Council up and running. This fund request was made in the spring of 2026. The 2nd fund request is to pay the adcisor for meeting time and planning for the meetings. It also includes snacks for the students and a camera for the historian. More about our Student Council
