Week 8 - In honor of a street painted universes that I capture during my journey to the fablab last Saturday.

I devoted.

Ideation

Tell us about your assignment's idea for this week. Why do you care about this idea? What inspired you? (Please include images or links to sources of inspiration)

This week assignment was to Communicate wirelessly through Bluetooth module with a Smart Circuit via a Graphical User Interface (GUI) on smart phone. The smart circuit must contains at least two action components and it must be programmed using Arduino C to perform serial communication.

I got inspired by this Article and decided to create a circuit to light and make sound while pressing number 1 and make only sounds while we press number 2.

Photo from internet.

I really try hard to use servo motor but it started to make high sounds and got heated without working.

Tool Chain

Which software/machines/materials did you use in the assignment? Why?

The physical component that I used to create my circuits are:

Bread board.
Jumpers.
LED Led.
Buzzer.
Resistors 220 ohm.
Arduino UNO.
On - off switch.

the software programs that I used to create my circuits are:

Arduino Bluetooth Control is an application that allows you to control your arduino board (and similar boards) via Bluetooth, and so to create awesome and fully customized projects, with the new features available within the app.

I used Fritzing to design my circite, Arduino ID to code it and Arduino Bluetooth Control to control the circuit via Bluetooth.

Fritzing is an open-source initiative to develop amateur or hobby CAD software for the design of electronics hardware, to support designers and artists ready to move from experimenting with a prototype to building a more permanent circuit. It was developed at the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam. Wikipedia. link

Arduino Integrated Development Environment(Arduino ID) is a cross platform application used to program Arduino compatible boards. It is a place to write the codes responsible for programming Arduino using C and C++ functions. Arduino.link

Design/Preparation Process

Explain the design and/or preparation process of your assignment. How did you use the tool or software to design and/or prepare your assignment before fabrication/implementation?

Schematic Diagram

I started by watching week 8 video tutorials in order to improve my understanding about how to to control led through, searched on internet on how to control it throught on off switch, and how to connect it to a graphical user interface application throw bluetooth module.

Then I started to made my wiring diagram on Fritzing for the first time and it was a new experience for me as he is so different from tinkercad.

After finsing my circuit I implemented my wiring diagram and started to build my code step by step and started to test it forever till it works !!!!

Development/Implementation Process

Explain the development/implementation process of your assignment. How did you use the machine/tool to manufacture or implement the design of your assignment?

I added the pins on the Breadboard and Arduino uno as shown in the code below, then I Copied the text code from Fritzing to Arduino IDE and connecting it throw bluetooth module to the Arduino Bluetooth Control on my phone and sync it.

Code part 1

Code part 2

Code part 3

After creating the circite using Fritzing I implemented my wiring diagram and started to build my code. This video is for my circuit after its worked: press me video.

Community of Learning

Did you ask for feedback? What are the ideas that others have contributed or suggested? What was someone else’s idea that you built upon? How did you help your peers? How did your peers help you?

This week was so hectics, I learned through it a lot and askd for help from MY VERY HELPFUL group instructor colleague and on slack too. The very most one that I'm truly grateful for him is my brother, without him I wouldn't even have finished half of my project. He work with me through the code line by line and word by word asking why I write this line and what I'm expecting from it till I figure out the pros and cons that I had with it.

This process of containing learning through discussions and group working is so lovely and inspiring, but learning from your own family and having all support and understanding is a astounding process for me.

Overcoming Challenges

When you got stuck, what/who did you turn to? At what point did you have to pause to research or learn more before moving on? What are some mistakes, pitfalls, or challenges that others can avoid if they were doing this assignment?

I spend 10 hours and more on this project it was so new as alwayes for me, so I read and watch lots of video tutorials to know about it.The connections that I made on the circuit wasn't right and the led refuse to work and I spend 4 hours with my brother trying to figure where is the problem.

We used lots of reference on this process and here I have some of them:link ,link ,link ,link ,link ,link link and link.

Final Project

How can you use the skills and knowledge that you've acquired this week in your final project?

I will use what I have learned to make my final project and hopefully, I will have a lovely unique clock.

WOW!

What is the coolest thing that you've learned this week? What is something that you will never forget from this week?

This Saturday HACKATHON was my second hackathon, and again I worked in it with energetic, lovely and creative team to craete an inspiring and elegant fish catcher.

believe it or not, Two lovely ladies and I had worked together to create this masterpiece.
