Job Concerns for Students
Job Concerns for Students
Working students need to be mindful.
Working students need to be mindful.
- The most money you will ever receive for college will come from the college(s). They look most at your transcript and your grades. Do not work to many hours and tank your grades/GPA.
- Your yearly tax income and your assets (checking & savings) will impact your FAFSA or ORSAA.
- Students who may qualify for FREE federal grant money or state grant money need to not work so much as to work their way out of this free money.
- Middle to high-income students who will not qualify for FREE federal or state aid might still qualify for need based aid at very generous schools. So you also, need to be mindful of how much you make.
FAFSA/ORSAA will ask for the tax income from two years prior to the filing. For example, a 24/25 FAFSA will use 2022 tax information for both the parent(s) and student.
