8th Grade Interview written by: Diego Ramirez, Miguel Rodriguez, and Jermey Bueno
We had the pleasure of interviewing one of our 8th graders, Juan de Dios Chaidez! In this interview, Juan de Dios would like us to know that his favorite basketball team is the Golden State Warriors, his favorite football team is the Las Vegas Raiders, and his favorite baseball team is the Oakland A’s. His idea to make the newsletter better is to add trivia and more sport pages. After thinking for a while about what his future career would be, he said he would like to be a teacher. Right now, he is aiming to join a sports club on campus. One of his favorite places on campus to hangout is the quad. This school year he would like to join basketball, volleyball, or flag football. One thing he is looking forward to this year is promoting. The subject Juan de Dios enjoys most is math because he thinks it's simple to do and he’s pretty good at it. What do you think was the most interesting thing about Juan de Dios?

Mr. McDaniel has been working at ESMS for nine years and has been enjoying it ever since. While working at ESMS, moving schools never crossed his mind, which shows his dedication. Before becoming the drama teacher we all know at ESMS, he attended Cal Poly and majored in theater. However, while becoming a teacher, Mr. McDaniel said “Finding out I could teach drama was one of the best moments I've had working.” As the yearbook is being created, Mr. McDaniel would love to see more clubs and student activity. Drama students participating and encouraging each other makes the drama class even better and exciting. Mr. McDaniel has trust in the yearbook students' creativity for this upcoming yearbook and has no concerns. To sum everything up, this was just a little bit of Mr. McDaniel’s career over the past years working at ESMS.
Mr. McDaniel with a BIG smile.
