There are significant areas of the building that have not been updated since they were built in the 50’s and 60’s. In addition, some of the areas were built for specific purposes (i.e. Computer Labs, Old School Office, Tech. Ed.) and have become mostly storage areas. The facility renovations add classroom space without needing to add-on to the facility and updates spaces for present and future learning needs.
Sections of the building built in 1959, 1964, and 1969. Areas in Blue would get significant remodeling and the areas in tan would get more of a facelift/remodeling including cabinetry, ceiling grids, heating units, ADA compliant sinks, and updated technology.
Please join us on a tour through our oldest classroom areas of the building.
This used to be the office area for the 1969 separate elementary building, before it was connected to the main building in 1974. This area, and other connected areas, would be transformed into new Kindergarten classrooms.
The casework throughout the 1964, 1969, 1974, additions have inadequate storage and non-ADA compliant sinks.
Conversion of space presently used for storage or computer lab space that is no longer needed due to one-to-one computer devices, back into instructional space.
