Throughout the school year, we’re introducing our 4th graders to important skills in executive functioning and metacognition—key abilities for helping them manage their time, stay organized, and reflect on their learning process. In class, students will explore strategies like goal-setting, self-monitoring, and planning, which strengthen their independence and prepare them for more complex tasks as they progress in school. We’re also focusing on metacognition, or “thinking about thinking,” which encourages students to reflect on how they approach their work and how they can improve. These skills are foundational for building strong, self-aware learners, and we’re excited to watch our students grow!
Organizing and Presenting Our Material Through Google Slides and Oral Presentation
Students in fourth grade are introduced to Google Slides. They have worked to collaborate with peers through this platform and are now creating their own mission report presentation for Mission Day.
