There will be daily in class textbook activities due alongside with fun supplemental individual, partner, and group projects to enhance the students understanding of key themes of our Catholic identity. They will be posted on the learning site bi-weekly depending on what information we are covering. In the first few weeks you can expect us to cover the parts of mass, key prayers, introduction to The Bible, and learning how to utilize our prayer journals.For the first year ever, we will be entering into the Mission Dolores Prayer Card Competition to commemorate the 250th anniversary of its founding by Saint Junipero Serra. Students are invited to create a prayer card to either St. Junipero Serra or St. Francis of Assisi. More details to come on this creative and fun innovative project!Classwork ExpectationsAll religion work due will be posted on the learning site and in google classroom. We are aligned with Ms.Hansen's expectations and any unfinished classwork will become homework and sent home in their homework folders. The Saint Hilary School Service Hours Program is a mandatory program for all Junior High Students. For the school year, 4th and 5th graders are required to fulfill 5 hours of service. 6th graders are required to fulfill 10 hours of service, while 7th and 8th graders are required to do 20 hours of service each year. A total of 50 hours. If the student obtains 60 hours or more, he or she will be recognized at graduation.
Our service hours program is designed to help our community and those in need. At Saint Hilary School, we define service hours as outreach to those who are less fortunate than us. We want to live in the image and likeness of God.
Our goals include:

- Create and engage faith formation
- To reach out to community
- To nurture a positive culture of stewardship
