To ensure fair and equitable access for all, we must ask that you follow these guidelines.
Booking slots are 48 hours max
Pick up time must be confirmed prior with the tech department. Subject to availability
Return 1 hour prior to end of your booking for cleaning and turn around for the next booking
Equipment MUST be returned in the same condition as it was signed out. Take photos of cases if you are unfamiliar with the layout
No beaches or sandy locations. Any equipment returned with sand will be subject to a immediate repair bill
Equipment must be picked up and returned by the student who booked it
It is the student’s responsibility to check equipment condition at the very beginning of the loan. Tech ops will not accept any excuse for broken or missing items once the gear has left the campus
Producers of major projects should ensure all team members are on site to check equipment at pick up
Equipment should only be operated and used by SAE Students
Sufficient time should be set aside to test and check equipment at collection
24 hours notice required for booking or cancellation/alteration of bookings
Call the Tech Department if you are running late
Report any equipment/studio faults to the Tech Team
Booking restrictions are based upon the tech ops discretion. Students requests for equipment will be weighed up against upcoming and previous bookings and other requirements for other modules in order to make items available to as many students as possible.
Plan ahead. Equipment is limited as is time to complete assessments. Weeks 8 - 12 is already too late to make bookings for equipment.
