Quit all applications on the Mac (eg: Pro Tools, XMon)
Press the 'Mute All' button on the front of the XMon rack unit
Shut down the Mac
Power off the XMon rack unit
Power off the Avid HD I/O interface
Press the 'Home' button to the left of the bottom of the S6 screen
Press the 'Settings' text at the bottom right of the S6 touchscreen interface
Select the 'About' tab at the top of the S6 touchscreen interface
Press the 'Shutdown' text at the bottom right of the screen and wait for the computer to power off
Press the power switch behind the S6 touchscreen and wait for the MTM software to start
If the desk modules were powered off (they shouldn't have been), check the Surface tab and wait until all modules have finished booting
Power on XMon rack unit and press the 'Mute All' button
Power on the Avid HD I/O audio interface
Power on the Mac
Wait at the Mac desktop until the WSControl taskbar icon has stopped spinning
Go to the Workstations tab of the Settings page on the S6 MTM
Verify that 'syd-s6' (the Mac) is connected and that XMon is the currently focused application
Adjust the main control room level on the S6 monitor module and ensure that the XMon application responds to changes
Ensure XMon application has 'USB2MIDI' selected as the MIDI port
Ensure the XMon rack unit displays activity on the MIDI Rx light during control surface usage
Launch Pro Tools
From the 'Setup' menu, open the 'Peripherals' dialog box
Select the 'Ethernet Controllers' tab
Ensure that 'Enable EUCON' is ticked
Ensure that no other options are enabled or selected in this tab
Open your Pro Tools Session
Holding 'Shift', press the 'Layout Mode' button.Â
