Session Aim: By the end of the lesson you will be able to define basic sound attributes: frequency, wavelength, amplitude and the velocity of sound.

1. Think Pair Share - Read this article

• • You are not meant to understand all the content yet. Make a note of the words you don't understand that need further explanation and definition. Compare your list of words with a partner. Share this list with the class and together with your facilitator, form a list of words that would be useful to define. Your facilitator will collate a list and assign you some to research further.

  • In pairs/small groups, research these words, define and report your findings to the class. 

2. Class discussion - The terms you have researched will help you answer "What is sound and how can we visually represent it?"
