Faculty Mentors
What is a faculty mentor?
A faculty mentor will:
Review the student’s submissions
Help shape the research idea
Meet regularly to make sure the research is on track
Give feedback on the research project and presentation
A mentors may also choose to:
Moderate at least one session at the conference.
Volunteer to evaluate abstracts for award winners.
Any professor can be a mentor for the conference!
Student Responsibilities
Reach out to a professor to be your mentor.
Need help finding a mentor? Email Prof. Szczurek at aszczurek@saddleback.edu
Submit materials by the deadlines
Set up meetings with your mentor to talk about your proposal, draft, presentation, etc.
