The Met Gala is one of the most glamorous and eagerly anticipated events in the fashion world. Held annually in New York City, the event draws celebrities, designers, and artists worldwide. Every year, the gala is centered around a theme that influences the fashion choices of the guests, making it an exciting showcase of creativity as we see each person's take on the theme. The Met Gala was founded by fashion publicist Eleanor Lambert in 1948 and was originally intended to raise funds for the Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Over time, it evolved into a high-profile event. Celebrities, designers, and A-listers from different industries attend the gala, which is not just a fundraiser but also a moment for designers to show off their work and celebrities to express themselves. The event is famous for its red carpet, where attendees wait for their turn in front of the cameras. The theme for the 2025 Met Gala was "Superfine: Tailoring Black Style," which is the new exhibit at the Costume Institute exploring the influence of black dandyism in the fashion world. Guests were invited to dress based on their interpretations of the theme. A pregnant Rihanna in Marc Jacobs and A$AP Rocky in AWGE and Louboutin stunned the carpet with, in my opinion, one of the best interpretations of the theme. Zendaya in a white Louis Vuitton pantsuit, and a dramatic hat stole the show on the carpet as well, as she showed her view on tailoring. Lastly, my personal favorite was Kim Kardashian, who wore a Chrome Hearts two-piece set with a statement train and lots of statement accessories. I cannot wait to see what next year's Met has in store! (Vogue)
