Crumbl Cookies is a fast growing food chain that recently became popular in America. Something different about their brand is that they change their menu weekly. They have over 1000 store locations all over the United States. Their cookies are also known for being very large in size and filled with a lot of sweet ingredients. The cookies are loaded with saturated ingredients and a large amount of calories and sugar. The basic chocolate chip cookie option that they have every week is 730 calories and 47 grams of sugar in one cookie. One cookie covers around a third of the amount of calories the average person eats in a day. And that is one of their lowest calorie cookies! For example, for the week of April 28, the Oreo Birthday Cake Cookie contains 830 calories and 65 grams of sugar, as well as extremely high amounts of sodium and cholesterol which aren’t necessarily good for your health in those high amounts. In addition, if you are eating 2000 calories a day is it recommended for 50 grams of sugar to be in that overall. That amount of sugar is in just one of these cookies, if not more! Their cakes contain even higher amounts of this than their traditional cookies. If you're wondering why this can have health implications, the mere amount of sugar in the cookies alone can cause spikes in blood sugar levels. The food also contains many toxic dyes and artificial colors such as red 40, which you might have heard of before due to its health concerns. Lastly, the food is shown to have high levels of high fructose corn syrup, along with various other unhealthy ingredients which should not be normalized! These cookies are still a good sweet treat to be eaten in moderation. They may be delicious but remember to watch out and prioritize your health by not eating too many too often! (Food Babe)
