iOS Application Version 1.0: Released 26/11/2024
First version of native iOS application release to the Apple App Store. Contains bike measurements with step by step process and guidance. Links to the website and a feedback mechanism.
Application Version 5.13: Released 8/12/2024
Added an feature in advanced mode to enable saddleback to have a constant added. This is intended to allow for +3mm to be added due to the 6mm flat on the saddle clamp. i.e. for bike fitters is allows anexact measurement to be taken that would be consistent with other methods for precise saddle setback measurement.
Added a message for iOS users to promote the new native app.
Application Version 5.11: Released 11/7/2023
Introduced a change to disable angle measurement when tabs are switched or values are copied to profile. This prevents any calculations that use data from multiple tabs being incorrect due to angle values changing while you hold the device. Typically this could result in incorrect saddle to handle bar drop calculations.
Change Android angle measuring logic because in some cases angles were being rounded to approx 0.5 of a degree. Angles are now always accurate to 0.1 degree, but it is also important to keep the device level in other planes.
Application Version 5.09: Released 5/6/2023
Introduced improved algorithms to make measuring angles easier. The application now isolates movement on different Axis. It is now important to select your tool version on the “Profiles” tab, this is because on the V4 tool the phone is mounted on the edge of the ruler and on V5 is it mounted on the front, therefore different Axis are used to measure the angle.
The logic being used for iOS has also been changed now to utilise a different API which provides more stable measurements. This should make using the tool with iPhones much easier.
Application Version 4.26: Released 20/3/2022
Bug Fix: Angle measurement was being rounded to the nearest degree which is not accurate enough for setback measurements. Fixed this back to 1/10 of a degree.
Application Version 4.25: Released 8/2/2022
Introduced “Advanced Mode” with the following features:
Additional indicators to show twist and lean of the phone when measuring an angle to help check that the tool is straight
UCI Compliace for saddle setback and bottom bracket height. UCI measure saddle setback to the tip of the saddle so it is also necessary to enter the tip to centre measurement for this calculation. Non compliant setups are highlighted in red.
Application Version 4.12: Released 2/2/2022
Introduced ‘share’ feature to enable bike profiles to be shared with other people or other devices.
‘Open’ button removed from the profile list and replaced with the profile name being the button that opens and switched to the Saddle tab.
Application Version 4.7: Released 30/1/2022
Introduced tab displays for Profiles/Saddle/Bars/Hands.
New feature to load/save different bike profiles.
Backup and restore functionality to backup and/or move data between devices.
Tool Version 3.04: 24th Jan 2022
Includes additional internal strengthening for seat clamp
Application Version 3.2: 14th Jan 2022
Fixed bug to correct handle bar X and Y calculations to reference the handle bar centre rather than the contact point with the ruler. These calculations required me to use the ruler width and standard bar diameter (32mm), so now all measurement used in the app need to be in mm units.
Added notification dialog to launch on first run to explain that app has been updated.
