Saddle Position
Step 0 – Position your bike
Before you start, ensure that your bike is on a horizontal surface and is stood vertically upright. You can use the angle measurement feature on the app to check this if necessary. Normally standing the bike against a wall is sufficient.
Step 1 – Find your saddle centre
Remove the seat clamp section from the tool, loosen the allen bolt slightly and place the flat face on top of the saddle and align it with the mid point of the straight part of the saddle rail. Many saddles have measurements marked on the rail, but if yours doesn’t then use a tape measure alongside to find the centre of the rail. For the majority of saddles this point is where the width is 70 or 80mm, however some designs do vary. Adjust your tool to the correct width at the saddle centre, ensuring that it is a tight fit on the saddle. The intention is that you can then use this to quickly locate the same point on this, and other saddles in the future. Assuming you use saddles of a similar design then you should not need to change this once set. You can add the optional spacers to help ensure that the tool sits flat on top of the saddle.

Step 2 – Bottom Bracket to Saddle angle
Slide the phone holder pieces and the seat clamp onto the tool. If you are tall place the phone holder on first. Then securely place your phone into the holder.

Open the app and select the appropriate profile you wish to use. Then Open the “Saddle” page.
Turn the “Measure Saddle angle” switch on, then place the BB locator at the end of the tool into the BB centre and position the saddle clamp in the centre of the saddle.
When you are sure that the bike it upright and the tool is located correctly, turn the “Measure Saddle angle” switch off to lock the measurement.
Step 3 – Measure Bottom Bracket to saddle distance
With the tool still correctly located on the bike take the measurement in the window of the seat clamp and then enter that into the app. e.g. 768mm in the example below.
Once this measurement is entered the Saddle X (set back) and Y (vertical height) will be calculated.
There is also a field to capture Crank Length, although this is not used in any of the calculations
Step 4 – Save Active data to profile
If you wish to save these measurements then press the “Save Active to profile” button before moving on
The App can also be used to check the saddle tilt by placing the phone flat on top of the saddle and turning on the “Measure angle” switch. This data is not stored.
