Although costs for educators / course designers and filming can vary greatly depending on the size of the MOOC, you should allow for 30,000 - 60,000 euro.

Who do you need?

Create a team quickly, involving a lead educator, supporting content experts, online learning design experts from Educational Support & Innovation and video support. Also reach out to a broader team including a marketing/communication officer, financial officer and student assistants to make the process as smooth as possible.

Quality criteria

To assure the quality of our MOOCs, we follow the MOOQ quality criteria as formulated in an adaptation of the Quality Reference Framework (QRF) developed by the European Alliance for the Quality of Massive Open Online Courses, called MOOQ . The Quality Reference Framework is based on the International ISO standard ISO/IEC 40180 (former ISO/IEC 19796-1) and the results from the mixed methods research by MOOQ.

Although many items on this website were based on our own experiences developing online courses and videos, we owe a great deal to the design principles and resources from FutureLearn.
