Scaffolding vs. Differentiation: What’s the Difference?
Both scaffolding and differentiation are essential for meeting learners where they are - but they serve different purposes.
🔹 Scaffolding provides temporary, structured support, gradually removed as learners gain independence. Think of it as the steps that help students climb to new heights.
🔹 Differentiation is about adapting learning - modifying content, process, or product. It’s about creating multiple pathways to success.
At their core, both approaches are responsive - adjusting challenge and support to help every learner grow.
