Time Capsule Drawings

The subjects of my creations are, a self portrait, a still life, a drawing of something in my hands and a corner of a room in my house. the setting of these is my house. One of them used a mirror to make, the others I had to look up and at to draw. I used a pencil. I choose to create the mirror because I thought I could put a reflection of myself in my mirror to make it more realistic. I choose to create the bottle because I wanted to make something 3D. I choose to make that corner of the house so I could draw a little bit of my kitchen. I used shape on all of them because I was copying the shape of what I drew. On the bottle one I used texture because I used the shape to give it a better texture. I used selective focus on the bottle one and the portrait because I centered them all and made their shape a little bolder. I used soft focus on the rest because all the parts were equally important so I tried to make them all the parts equally bold. The portrait evolved from me looking into a mirror to that and the rest evolved from looking at them to that. I changed the mirror so it had a reflection of me. the meaning and story of this artwork is to see how good I could draw stuff in real life and take these things into perspective. These drawings relate to me because I see these things almost day. If I could change something I would make my self portrait not have such baggy eyes and I would make the bowl in the top right more detailed.
