Lichtenstein Square

The subjects of my creations are two parts of the Lichtenstein square the setting is a dock. This work was made by cutting up a picture into a bunch of small parts and then making them into their own colors. I used water color crayons and a smaller version of this project. I chose to create these because it looked simple. I used color because we had to use a light and dark as to the smaller image color so they would all work together. And I used form because I formed it bigger. This is arranged as a smaller version of these pictures. I used high and low key lighting on both pictures because they both are light on some parts and dark on others. My project evolved from a small piece of black and a white and in-between to a five times bigger square with these markings to a completed Lichtenstein square. The meaning and story behind this piece is to see what would happen if we were to put a bunch of cut up 5x enlarged pieces together to make a combined piece. I think for the second one I could have use a light color than purple.
