Final Project

The subject of my creation is a dinosaur made out of black and white charcoal. The setting is in a barren landspace a long time ago. I used black charcoal to make the shapes and backround and if it was too light/dark I either used white/more black and blended it again. I chose to create this because I origanally wanted to make a assemblage of a dinosaur, but I didn't have enough time, so I made a dinosaur out of my favorite media. I used form to bring it on to my canvas. I used value to make it darker and lighter. I used proportion to scale it onto my picture I used Selective focus to try and make it so the dinosaur is the first and last thing that they look at. I also used high and low lighting because of the light and darkness on some parts. My project evolved from a picture of a dinosaur in a barren landscape to this. I changed the value depending on how the dinosaur stood out. The meaning of this project was to show how well we can think of our own project and make it with what we have learned. This relates to my life because I spent time photoshopping the picture. I think I could have made the piece look a little soft/lighter.
