10/25 at 4pm P/T conference link is open
If your student is going to be absent or late, please contact the school at 865.6051 (you can leave a message in the general mailbox) or email fmsattendance@rsu5.org
If your student is late and you are dropping them off, they can walk themselves in. They will sign in in the office and then head to class. You do not need to walk them into school.
If you are dismissing your student you must call ahead, preferably in the morning or send an email to fmsattendance@rsu5.org. We will dismiss your student out of class. They will sign out in the main office and then wait for you to pull in front of the building for pick up. You do not need to come in and sign your student out.
For absences of 3 or more consecutive days (e.g., family vacations) please complete and extended absence form and submit it one week in advance.
Your students will check their emails during bcs (end of the day). If you have any information/change of plans, you can email your student and/or call the main office.
Students check your emails during BCS!
The office or your parents may send you alerts for changes in plans.
The school day ends at 2:20. Make sure to have a "backup" plan (especially if clubs/practices/games are cancelled). All kids need to know if they are walking home, getting picked up, or riding a bus (FMS does not need to know the plan). They can have different plans on different days without letting us know, just make sure your child knows.

Is Worry Running the Show?
Are you having difficulty getting your child to school in the morning? Is worry running the house? Are you finding that your adolescent is having a difficult time managing their worry, anxiety, and possible OCD symptoms.? We know that when a family member struggles to manage this anxiety, the whole family can be affected. We have a wonderful resource here in Freeport to support parents and ultimately helping the entire family to manage this often difficult emotion. I have included the link for you to explore and connect with if you feel that this would be helpful. https://www.spacetreatment.net/
