Sterling Green's Outrageously Awesome and Trustworthy Reviews.
Sponge Edition
Sponge Edition
Hello and welcome to the newly revamped version of Sterling Green's Outrageously Awesome and Trustworthy Reviews. For the last review of the school year, I have to make a confession. I have never watched a single episode of the hit TV show Spongebob Squarepants. I hope you can accept by apologies and condolences but I am going to right my wrongs. I will watch a bunch of episodes considered to be the best episodes to give a harsh and painfully honest review on each of them or compliment them for their excellent humor.
The Graveyard Shift takes place at the Krusty Krab, a restaurant run by a greedy crab called Mr Krabs. He wants to make more money so he makes the Krusty Krab open forever to maximize profits. Spongebob is happy with this but not Squidward. In the middle of the night, Squidward tells Spongebob a scary story to freak him out about the Hash Slinging Slasher, a shady guy who does not look both ways to cross the street and has a spatula hand. Spongebob freaks out so Squidward reveals to him that it is fake and not true. So he begins laughing but not for long as all the events that come from Squidward's story come to life.

I did say I was going to be harsh on Spongebob but this was pretty funny I must say. The comedic elements are spot on, my favorites being the plot twist and Spongebobs reactions to Squidward's stories.
This high quality masterpiece was recommended by the Journalism Team. This episode is awesome and actually funny unlike most cartoons in this modern era. Spongebob starts sledding outside and having fun. But he goes off a huge ramp and breaks his gluteus maximus. The doctor tells him to not do anything unsafe or he will be seriously injured. So Spongebob becomes a hermit and becomes great friends with Penny, Chip, and Tissue. Sandy and Patrick try to get him to outside so they set a trap. Patrick pretends to be a gorilla and Sandy pretends to be scared by him so Spongebob will come outside and save her. But when Patrick walks up to them, everything changes.
This was a high quality form of production entertainment and the plot twist at the end is incredible. Quite possible the peak of Spongebob entertainment. If you are bored right I demand you to watch it. 10/10
Magic Conch begins with Spongebob and Patrick ruthlessly roasting Squidward in a treehouse club. Squidward gets angry and demands to join the club but in an outburst he sends the club all the way into a kelp forest. So they ask a purple magic conch shell for guidance to escape the kelp forest. It says to do nothing and they do nothing against Squidwards will. Squidward tries to escape but to no avail, but Spongebob and Patrick get a picnic set just by doing nothing. Squidward in his hungry state asks the magic conch to know what to eat first but it says to not eat anything at all. Just as Squidward goes insane an explorer finds them. But the Explorer is not just any explorer you may think of. This episode was alright, it was good but did not seem original and looked like a repetitive plot seen in early 2010 cartoons. 6/10
This episode is one of earliest episodes made, roughly in 1999 I believe. It starts with Patrick smashing a heart thinking it is Spongebob and it turns into Patricks own sitcom show for Valentines Day. Patrick gives Spongebob a handful of dust as a present and Spongebob gave him an amusement park in return or at least that's what Patrick thinks. They go on a ferris wheel and Patrick begins shaking the wheel aggressively in eager happiness. Spongebob gives a handshake as his present for Patrick and he is really disappointed for the rest of the stay. They sit down to talk about the handshake but soon random fish start complimenting Spongebob for their awesome gifts and Patrick breaks. He begins tearing everything apart and destroying the carnival. Sandy comes to the rescue and brings the coolest present that calms down Patrick. This one was pretty good. The sitcom style was funny and a nice addition to a Valentine's Day special. Although compared to its brethren I was not as hysterical then the others episodes. 6/10
Mr Krabs is in dire need of money and he notices that Spongebob and Patrick are playing a game. But not any ordinary game, a treasure hunting game with real treasure. In desperation, he begins playing with them in hopes to get money. Mr Krabs begins to win over and over again until the night and leaves Spongebob and Patrick super tired to continue playing the game. He tries to leave but Mr Krabs breaks into his house to play the game more which makes Spongebob crack and kick him out. The next day, Patrick and Spongebob awaken to Mr Krabs in a boat and a treasure map ready to start treasure hunting. So they venture off with some difficulties. Patrick leads them weast of the treasure and they get lost but with encouragement from Mr Krabs they get back to hunting. Later that night the 2 of them peak at the map and are amazed at what is inside of it.
This was a very intriguing and dramatic episode with lots of ups and downs. I was pretty happy throughout my watching experience. The humor was funny and refreshing and the plot was dynamic.
9/10 Pickles
Spongebob and Squidward are undergoing a normal day of work at the Krusty Krab. Then a huge nerd fish named Bubble Bass walks in demanding outrageous orders from Squidward but Spongebob makes it in an instant. Except that he forgot the pickles for the sandwich. Spongebob is petrified that he made a mistake and every krabby patty he makes begin to falter and just become mustard between buns. He goes home after the disaster and his whole life becomes backwards. He begins forgetting how to do normal things in order so he begins sleeping in between his matress and talking backwards. Mr Krabs breaks in and sees the state of Spongebob and so he teaches him how to make a Krabby Patty and in time he learns how to create the greatest Krabby Patty. Spongebob goes back to the Krusty Krab and meets his arch nemesis Bubble Bass. Spongebob takes his order and lets Bubble Bass test the burger. His reaction is outrageously blasphemous.
This is my personal favorite of the Spongebob episodes that I have viewed. It is quite funny and contains a decent amount of humor. The plot twists that come through and through are very plottwisty
