When should I keep my child home from school?
When should I keep my child home from school?
Please do not send your child to school if they have ANY of the following symptoms:
Fever of or above 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit
Student’s should be fever free for 24 hours without fever-reducing medication before returning to school.
Undiagnosed rash
Vomiting/diarrhea
Please keep your child home for 24 hours after vomiting or diarrhea has stopped.
Red, watery eye with yellow discharge
Symptoms that prevent them from participating in school, i.e. uncontrollable nasal discharge, excessive coughing or fatigue, sore throat.
If your child experiences any of the above symptoms while at school the school nurse or other staff may contact a parent or individual listed on the emergency contact to arrange dismissal from school.
