HEALTH SCREENINGS
It is important to identify students who may have hearing and/or vision deficits. The impact on their learning may be significant if a problem goes undetected. Vision and hearing screenings will take place throughout the school year. Please contact your school nurse if you have any question or concerns regarding screenings.
Vision screening will take place in Pre-K, K, 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9th grades.
Hearing screening will take place in Pre-K, K, 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9th grades.
Height and Weight may take place in Pre-K, K, 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9th grades.
If your child does not pass screening for either vision or hearing per Maine State guidelines, you will be contacted and referral paperwork will be sent home with your child.
