To add an element of exploration to our students’ educational journey, we have introduced encore classes that follow a rotating A / B schedule. This rotation not only allows for a diverse range of elective experiences, but also ensures that students receive a well-rounded education. With this schedule, we aim to promote a love for learning, encourage curiosity, and provide a supportive environment for the holistic development of our middle schoolers.
A minimum grade of 50% will be entered for formative and summative assignments where students make a reasonable attempt. A reasonable attempt is when a student demonstrates knowledge and understanding of assessed content to some extent. Assignments that are not turned in will be recorded as “missing” in the gradebook.
Advanced
4 or Exemplary - The student consistently demonstrates an advanced level of understanding and can
apply their knowledge at a higher level.
Proficient
3 or Meeting Standards - The student has independently achieved the standard and consistently meets
expectations for skills and understanding.
Developing
2 or Approaching Standards - The student is developing an understanding of the standard, but may need
additional instruction or support.
In-Progress
1 or Emerging - The student has minimal understanding of the standard and does not meet expectations
for skills and understanding.
