Grade 5 Summer Math
Students entering Grade 5 have the opportunity to do additional math practice from the packet posted below or use websites for games, activities and practice. Students have 2 choices:
(1) “Get Ready for 5th Grade” Khan Academy course (recommended by CT Dept of Ed)
Complete units of study and log your mastery checks on Khan Academy.

(2) Summer Math Packet
Complete a set of engaging problems that cover a variety of topics.
If parents or students prefer a paper packet, copies can be sent home and are available in the school office.
Please bring in a completed packet or we can access your digital log of Khan Academy mastery checks on the first day of school.
In addition, students can continue use iReady for "My Path" (some students) or "Learning Games" (all students). Enjoy! Also, check out the Commissioner's Math Challenge information below.

All students in grades K-5 can continue to play Learning Games throughout the summer.
Students in grades K-8 with "My Path" personalized learning tutorials can continue to use it through August 20, 2023. Weekly usage is 45 minutes to yield maximum results.
In 23-24, student began logging in to iReady using Clever. Go to https://clever.com/ Click the button to "log in with google" and use google credentials to get to iReady.

The Connecticut State Department of Education offers the Commissioner's Summer Math Challenge. The Summer Math Challenge is a free program that helps your child practice math skills taught during the school year. When you enroll your child, you’ll get access to daily fun activities and resources designed for your child’s grade and ability level. There are choices, too!
The Summer Math Challenge runs from June to August 31, 2023.
