Zones of Regulation

In grade 3, 4, 5, 6 we have been learning about the zones of regulation and how to understand our feelings when we are in the Blue Zone, the Green Zone, the Yellow Zone and the Red Zone.

What Zone Are You In? and how can you cope with these feelings.

Blue: sick, tired, bored, moving slowly. Coping Tools: I can try to take a break, I can talk to an adult, I can listen to music, I can get some rest.

Green: Happy, calm, feeling okay, focused, and ready to learn. Coping Tools: I can learn, I can listen, I can work hard, I can meet expected behaviours.

Yellow: Frustrated, worried, silly, wiggly, excited, loss of some control. Coping Tools: I can take a break, i can drink some water, I can go for a walk, I can positive self talk.

Red: Mad/angry, mean, yelling/hitting, out of control. Coping Tools: I can take deep breaths, I can exercise, I can find my calm.
