Principal's Message: 

It is an honor to be afforded the opportunity to lead a school with such rich traditions in and out of the classroom. Arthur F. Smith is a community school dedicated to improving the lives of our students. We aim to provide our students with appropriate and challenging educational experiences in a respectful environment that fosters learning and growth. Through our community and parental partnerships, we are also able to help our students successfully navigate the expectations set forth by our school and our leaders. Our school motto is "Where Excellence is the Expectation" and our ability to forge this principle is accomplished through strategic planning, development of positive relationships, celebration of our achievements, and building upon our foundation to ensure we cultivate an environment in which our entire Arthur F. Smith community can thrive.

AP Message:

I am a lifelong learner who has had the opportunity to travel the world with my parents during their time in the Air Force. Those experiences have cultivated my educational objectives which include providing opportunities for all students to be successful through engaging and rigorous instruction, and establishing an environment in which students develop social and academic skills that promote growth. In our efforts to create a culture of excellence, our focus has been on ensuring that our students are exposed to diverse programs and activities. Aside from my profession, my other greatest joys have been found in my family.

AP Message:

Of all the professional labels I thought I would wear --a nurse, an actress, a missionary--education has provided me with the greatest opportunity to wear all of those titles and more. As an assistant principal, one of my core beliefs is that building positive bonds with students beyond the capacity of the classroom elicits greater probability for student success in the classroom. ALL students deserve the best education possible, and as a co-administrator, we must ensure that our students are exposed to high expectations and environments that encourage their best efforts in all academic and educational endeavors. Here at Arthur F. Smith Middle Magnet School, I truly believe that every day is "a great day to be a Rattler!"
