How We Thrive

There Are Different Ways To Thrive Throughout Life. Here Are Some of The Ways I Thrive With The Dimensions of Well-Being:

Physical

I’m not sure what photo to put here for physical well-being, but after every study session, I usually love to take a 3 hour nap, it helps relieve the stress and kind of resets my mood in a way. I remember one day I came home after school around 2 pm, and didn’t wake up until 5 pm.

Social

Ever since I came to Rowan, I’ve felt a sense of belonging and connection with a lot of people. It’s funny to see that everyone really liked the statue of the bake sale lady. It’s like everyone had one thing in common.

Emotional

I have a dog, his name is Totto, and he is super intelligent. Everytime I start crying, my dog comes up to me and sits by my side. He knows when I get upset and I always hold him, it’s kind of like therapy for me and I am so happy he’s always here for me. Even if he’s just an animal, he’s still family.

Community

This year I traveled to Puerto Rico with my dad to visit my sister. I don’t really see her that much, and all I can really do is text her. I thought that when I visited her, I felt much closer to family than here in New Jersey.

Purpose

I think I found my purpose. This photo is of me when I was waiting outside my chemistry lab for the TA to open the door. When I was looking at the lab through the window, I was thinking, “wow, this is what I’m really going to do for my future..” in a positive way. I think it’s incredible that I’m going to be helping so many people with science. I’m putting so much effort into my education.

Financial

See, I am not that good with saving money. I like to buy things for myself a lot of the time. I remember when I went on amazon and saw this comic for only around $15 and I really wanted it because the art looked really cool on the inside and outside, and It seemed like a pretty stable story too. But I think it was worth spending money on this comic, for my entertainment.
