Theory of Knowledge (TOK)

• Spring of junior year and fall of senior year

• Two required IB Assessments

  • Exhibition (completed in 11th grade)

  • Essay (completed in 12th grade)

• Combines with EE for bonus points (up to 3)

Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS)

• IB requires that students meet 7 learning outcomes

• Students must complete 6 experiences (shorter) and 1 project (longer) with 3 reflections each

• Students must be engaged in CAS throughout the 2 years in the IB Program but CAS cannot begin until August of junior year

• Westwood uses ManageBac for CAS Portfolios (students are provided with a login)

• Students will meet with Mrs. Key 3 times while in the program to review their CAS Portfolio and progress
