What makes your class unique?

It is a comprehensive look at the field of economics. This particular class focuses on gaining foundational understanding of core economic concepts and applying them to the real world.

How much homework is required in your class?

1 hour for each class meeting or about 3 hours per week.

What is your favorite thing about teaching IB?

The students. We, the IB community at Westwood, have students who really want to learn about the world around them. They are bought in to academics. This allows are classes to have a real university feel. I have been blessed to teach at the university level and we have classes that function on par (and sometimes higher) than some of these classes. IB is for the curious. IB is for students who enjoy learning and desire to learn. These are the characteristics of IB students. It is important to note, it is not just for the high achievers, rather it is for anyone who authentically desires to understand the world better.
