Number Sense is all about mental math. Students learn to solve math problems quickly and accurately in their heads, building strong number fluency and confidence with calculations. This contest helps students strengthen their understanding of addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and other key math concepts that support higher-level thinking.
During the contest, students complete a ten-minute test made up of fill-in-the-blank questions. All work must be done mentally without scratch paper or calculators. The challenge is to think fast, stay focused, and trust their math reasoning.
This event is perfect for students who enjoy puzzles, quick thinking, and testing their math skills under time pressure. It helps them see math as something active, exciting, and fun to practice.
