Chess is more than a game. It helps children build focus, patience, and strong problem-solving skills that support success in school and in life. It teaches students to think ahead, make decisions, and learn from every move. The Chess Puzzle Contest gives students a fun and challenging way to enjoy chess without playing full matches.
In this event, students complete a paper and pencil test filled with mini chess challenges. Each question shows a chessboard with pieces already in place. Students look at the board and answer multiple choice questions about the best move, possible captures, or strategies. It feels like solving brain teasers that use chess pieces.
This event is great for students who love puzzles and strategy games. They do not need to know every chess rule to participate. They just need to enjoy thinking critically and trying their best.
