Welcome to 2nd grade! I am so excited to be your student's teacher this year. I grew up in Austin a little south of here and I attended Texas A&M University for both my undergraduate degree in elementary education and for my graduate degree in curriculum and instruction. It was there I met my husband, Scott. In December of 2023 we had our precious daughter, Georgia. She is now 19 months old! This will be my seventh year teaching and my fourth year here at LME. I have gotten to teach kindergarten, first and second grade throughout my years and I am so excited to get to know this years 2nd graders!

When it comes to my students and classroom, creating community and engaging in joyful moments and learning are my top priority. I adore my students and work hard to create a strong classroom community where they know they are supported and loved. LME believes that our students learn best through play and experiences catered to their interests. I will get to know their learning styles and ensure students are engaged in their learning and proud of their work. We will create a portfolio this year showcasing all of the work and growth throughout the year. Viewing it will be an event to look forward to at the end of the year!
