We will be the greatest in the Great Clips Brand, and everyone will know it!
Expectation: Salons are encouraged to participate in community events yearly to increase Great Clips' awareness and connect Great Clips to consumers in their community.
Choose Event
Identify possible events in your town.
Search your town’s website or Facebook page
Examples include parades, festivals, music in the park, Easter egg hunts, Trunk or Treat
Evaluate each event
How many people attend? (minimum 250 people; 1000 people better!)
Choose an event that sounds most engaging to your staff, and provides positive exposure to people in your community.
Could the event be considered controversial by consumers? (religious, political, etc.) Try to avoid these.
Is there a cost to participate?
Decide how you plan to participate.
Table with Plinko game for awarding prizes?
Spray hair color
Walk or drive a float in a parade?
Photos with Buzz or Sudz?
Distribute candy & coupons?
Review community opportunities quarterly with your L10 salon manager team to determine which events will be most impactful at building Great Clips awareness. Share your event idea with the Marketing Manager (Kay Lynn Hartmann) at least one month in advance. Event Request Form
1Q Event requests due minimum 30 days before event
2Q Event requests due 3/16
3Q event requests due 6/15
4Q event requests due 9/15
Prepare for Event
To justify the cost of a community event, the event must increase brand awareness. To do that, maximize Great Clips' visibility with Great Clips branded items. (Each GM or market has signage to share among salons. Check on your next L10 to “reserve” these for your event date and determine what else is needed.) Example photos are on the RLO website.
