The BEST awards is a student writing contest for HS seniors. This year's theme: "Bilingualism Opens Doors-Now and For the Future"
o Student writings must be submitted in English.
o Winners will read a PORTION of their literary piece at the BEST Awards Recognition Event on Friday, April 24, 2026.
o The winner will receive a $1,000 scholarship, pending proof of acceptance at an institution of higher education.

Dollars for Scholars are looking for seniors who meet the following criteria. APPLY NOW!
2.5 or better GPA
Demonstrate financial need and/or academic merit.
Participate in community service during high school years.
Participate in school activities such as clubs, athletics, ASB, AVID, theatre, etc. during high school years.
Submit a 100-200+ word essay describing educational and career goals.
Submit a 100+ word essay describing any unusual circumstances.
Plan to attend a 2-year, 4-year college/university, or a technical/trade school

For financial aid, U.S. students should complete the free FAFSA application. The form is sent to federal and state governments and schools to qualify students for grants, loans, and work-study.

The CA Dream Act is a free application for students who are not U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Students are eligible to receive state financial aid and aid from individual institutions.
