Advantages of Attending a Community College
Students can finish their general education requirements in smaller classroom settings.
Attending community college allows you to explore major and career options if you are not yet sure what you want to do.
California community colleges have agreements with California 4- year colleges and universities, which means there are great transfer opportunities.
Students can complete two years at a community college and two years at a 4- year university to = a Bachelor's degree. (There is NO difference between a Bachelor's degree earned solely at a 4-year university and a Bachelor's degree earned by transferring from a community college).
Community Colleges offer certificates and associate's degree programs that can prepare you for a career within 2 years or less.
