ODYSSEY of the Mind (OOTM)

Picture from Skylands Regional Tournament - March 2023!

Coaches and Judges from 2022-2023:  Ms. Proda, Ms. Hafers, Mr. Luca and Mrs. Danahy at the regional competition where River Edge brought 5 teams. This was the first year ever for our 3rd and 4th graders and we could not be more proud!  It was a great day for our Odyssey families and although we did not advance to states, there were many moments to celebrate.

Notes:

What is Odyssey of the Mind?

OOTM is a fun, creative competition for students in elementary school through college.  River Edge has participated in the Odyssey of the Mind Challenge (OOTM) for 4+ years. Teams of 5-7 students compete in problem solving, both spontaneous and long term.  There are regional, state and a world competition.  Participation is not limited to CREATE students.

The flyer below from the Odyssey organization provides some general information about the different kinds of problems and age levels/divisions.
