My Community - Your Trusted Care Circle Explained
The My Community module is your pet’s care circle — a shared space where you can build and manage a trusted team of people who support your pet’s wellbeing. Whether it’s your best friend, your go-to dog walker, or the neighbor who proudly claims they'd “die for your cat,” your care community is made up of the people you trust most with your pet(s) and this is where you bring everyone together.
What You Can Do Here:
Store provider details for quick access and organization
Invite caregivers to join your pet’s care team
Track and manage caregiver activities and status
Send care requests directly to your care community
Every pet has their own care community — so if you have multiple pets, you can build a unique circle of support for each one.
💡Roo Tip: Caregivers are only linked to the pet they were invited to support, so be sure to invite them separately for each pet if needed.
How to Invite Caregivers: A Step-by-Step Invitation Process
To invite someone to join your Care Community, you’ll send them an invitation directly from your dashboard.
Steps to Invite a Caregiver Include:
1. Go to your 'My Community' dashboard tab.
2. Click tab to 'Invite a Caregiver'.
3. Enter their name and email and a special note - we’ll send them a personalized invitation to create a free caregiver account linked to you.
4. Once they accept and you confirm them , you’ll be able to send care requests, share routines, and log care activity together.
They’ll only see the pets you link them to, and you control their access at any time.
It takes a village — and we help you build it.
How to Track a Caregiver's Invite Status.
You can easily track the status of all caregiver invitations and care requests from the My Caregivers tab in your dashboard.
Each invitation will show one of the following real-time statuses:
Pending – Invitation sent, awaiting action from prospective caregivers
Accepted – Invitation accepted by recipient, awaiting your confirmation
Declined – Invitation was declined
Confirmed – You’ve confirmed them and they’ve created a caregiver profile
Revoked – You’ve canceled their access or removed their role
Roo Tip: A caregiver is associated only to the pet profile they were invited under - so if you don’t see them under another pet - that’s likely why. Each caregiver must be invited separately for each pet they support.
Understanding Caregiver Roles and Access:
As a Pet Parent, you have full control over what care information is shared — and with whom.
You can choose to share tasks, notes, and important care details with trusted caregivers in two secure ways:
Through a Care Request, where you select exactly what’s relevant for that care moment
Via your pet’s QR code, which provides quick, read-only access to shared info in real-time
It’s a simple way to keep your pet’s people informed, supported, and ready to step in — with care that’s clear, connected, and right at your (and their) fingertips.
Managing your Care Team: Deleting a Caregiver from Your Care Community
Life changes, roles shift, and sometimes the care circle evolves. You’re always in control of who is a part of your pet's care community.
To Remove a Caregiver:
Go to My Community - My Caregivers Tab
Tap on the caregiver you’d like to remove
Select “Revoke Access”
Confirm your choice
Once removed, they’ll no longer see your pet’s information or be a part of your pet's care community.
Troubleshooting Invitations: Common Issues and Solutions
1) Missing Caregiver
My linked caregiver isn’t showing up in my pet’s profile?
How to fix it:
First, check that you’re viewing the correct pet profile associated with the Caregiver.
If you’d like the caregiver to also show up under another pet, you’ll need to send them a separate invitation from that pet’s profile. Once they accept, they’ll be linked to that pet as well.
Roo Tip: Think of each pet’s caregiver list as its own circle of trusted helpers. A caregiver can be in multiple circles — they just need to be invited for each one.
2) Why is my caregiver invitation still pending?
If a caregiver invitation is stuck in “Pending,” here are the most common reasons:
Why this happens
The caregiver hasn’t set up their linked profile yet (required before they appear in your care community).
The unique invite code expires after 24 hours, so the caregiver may have missed the window.
The invite email may have landed in spam/junk folders, or the caregiver overlooked it.
The invitation was sent to the wrong email address.
How to fix it:
Confirm the email you used is correct. If not, resend the invitation to the right address.
Ask the caregiver to check spam/junk folders in case the email was filtered.
If the 24-hour link expired, simply resend the invitation so they receive a new one.
Remind the caregiver they must complete their profile setup from the invite email before they’ll appear as linked to your pet.
Roo Tip: Invitations only move from “Pending” once the caregiver finishes setup through the secure link in their email. Until then, their status will stay pending.
