RooSources™ are the core care features within the app - designed to give you even more ways to support your pet and the community that cares for them.

These include:

• Quick Links – One-tap access to routines, feeding notes, emergency info—whatever matters most to you 

• Care Requests – Coordinate with your care circle when you need a hand (or paw)

Every new pet parent gets a freemium RooSources™ starter pack—free uses that let you explore our premium tools and see how they can enhance your pet’s care.

When your starter pack runs out, it’s up to you: stay on the free version, or add extra RooSources™ individually or in multipacks—whatever fits your care style.

What is the RooSource™ Center?

The RooSources™ Center is your personal hub for managing your RooSources inside The Riley Roo Way™.

It’s where you will:

• Track how many RooSources™ you’ve used and what’s left in your freemium or purchased as add-ons

• Buy more RooSources™ through the Store if you’re running low

• Stay in control of how you use features like Calendar Events, Quick Links, and Care Requests

You’ll find the RooSources™ Center inside your Pet Parent Profile.

What are Quick Links and why should I use them?

They’re bite-sized, tappable links that surface the most important info about your pet—fast. 

Think:

• Feeding instructions

• Medication times and doses

• Emergency contacts

• Behavior quirks

• “Do NOT give cheese” alerts

Instead of digging through long notes, outdated texts, or (let’s be real) the black hole that is an inbox, you can find them via a Quick Link. Tap. Info found. Drama averted. You control what’s linked.

How do Calendar Events work?

Calendar Events are your pet’s personal scheduling tool—built to track everything from the routine to the unforgettable.

Use them to log:

• Vet appointments or medication schedules

• Grooming, training, or therapy sessions

• Walks, sitter visits, or feeding changes

• Allergies, milestones, or health check-ins

• Birthdays, adoption days—or even “first yard poop” (we get it)

You’ll start with a set number of events in your freemium plan. When you need more, you can add individual events or expand with Add-Ons—no subscription required. Let the app remember—so you don’t have to.  

The Power of the QR Code 

Every pet in The Riley Roo Way™ automatically receives a unique QR Code ID when their profile is created. This isn’t just a tech feature — it’s your pet’s digital identifier, designed to make care simpler, safer, and more connected.

You can find your pet’s QR code by going to their profile page and expanding the profile view.  Simply tap the QR code to open it in a larger, scannable format

Why It Matters

Instead of shuffling through papers, searching emails, or hoping you remembered to print that record, one quick scan delivers what’s needed by simply changing the privacy settings in your pet's profile.

How You Can Use It

Here are just a few real-life ways the QR code becomes a powerful tool:

• At the vet or specialist – Share full vaccine records, medical history, or treatment notes with a quick scan.

• In an emergency – Toggle on “Emergency Care” details so responders see critical info immediately.

• With a sitter or caregiver – Share feeding instructions, medication schedules, or daily routines in seconds.

💡 Roo Tip: The more you details you add to your pet's profile, the more powerful your pet’s QR code becomes. Think of it as letting the QR code “do the heavy lifting” for you — making sure the right people always have the right details, exactly when they need them.
