WHO CAN VOLUNTEER?
(After school & Summer Opportunities Available)
Anyone over the age of 16. If under 18, a valid work permit is required.
Anyone with current/past experience with behavioral health issues (your own or that of a family member or friend) and the desire to help others.
Anyone that wants to have or explore career options in behavioral health.
Anyone that has a positive attitude and wants to make a difference!
Required Documentation:
-3 letters of recommendation from either teachers, counselors, club advisors, community leaders, *Use the Brag Sheet or Academic Resume when requesting* -FIND VIA "SCHOLARSHIPS" TAB
(No personal recommendations)
-Copy of your immunization record
-Proof of COVID-19 vaccine (Completed immunization series is required
-Required to show proof of negative TB test prior to start date (Test can be rendered via blood draw with ARMC)

Volunteer Opportunity Details:
-Must attend a scheduled online orientation BEFORE start date
-Must commit to at least one full 4 hour shift a week
-Must be willing to commit to a minimum 100 hours throughout the volunteer year.
-Must not miss more than 2 scheduled shifts (prior approved absences aren't included) *You will be placed on a probationary period potentially leading to termination if so*
-Uniform is required (Polo shirt-given to you by ARMC your first day & Khaki pants: dickies, dockers, script etc- Must be purchased by yourself or parent)

Volunteer tutors work with students on English, language arts, math and science. In addition to homework assistance and academic intervention, Think Together provides enrichment programs that promote character development, nutrition education and physical activity.
Volunteering just a few hours per week can make a tremendous difference in the life of a student. Through one-on-one support, volunteers encourage positive social interaction by helping students develop healthy relationships with peers and teachers.
Regional Parks offers a variety of volunteer opportunities for individuals and groups, such as the Friends of Regional Parks. Work behind the scenes or on the front line in positions ranging from a one-time service project/ volunteer event to a longer term position, serving alongside park employees or with one of our many partner organizations. Opportunities are available throughout San Bernardino County.
Some positions are specialized and require particular talents, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as a background check. Other positions only require a desire and willingness to volunteer. Individuals under the age of 18 must have written consent of the parent or legal guardian before they may volunteer.

Must be able to perform tasks either working alone or with other staff or volunteers
Commitment of 3 months with a minimum of 2 hours a week
Attend a Volunteer orientation
Have a Volunteer application on file
Follow a weekly schedule as given by branch staff
Volunteers work 2 hour shifts up to twice a week and are scheduled to best meet the need of the libraries
Must be able to push, pull, and lift a minimum of 30 lbs.
Pass a basic volunteer skill assessment
Must arrive on time and call ahead to notify staff if you will be late or absent
Adhere to the Volunteer Dress Code
Volunteers must dress appropriately for the conditions and performance of their duties which include but are not limited to:
Closed toe shoes
Clothes must not be too tight or revealing
Clothes may not be too baggy
Clothes must not have profanity or inappropriate graphics on them
Volunteers must sign and agree to comply with the County library’s volunteer expectations
