Our Art

We planned out a design using Polynesian patterns and designs as our source of inspiration. Firstly we ruled up our paper into a grid then carefully reproduced our draft copy. Next we went over our pencil lines with a black vivid. Adjusting the design and making improvements as we went along. The dyeing phase can be quite challenging. Trying not to get too much dye on the brush. Choosing the best colour combinations. Mixing and blending dyes to make the patterns more eye-catching. The end result is each individual's personal creation and interpretation of the brief.
