Room 14 decided to focus on Maori/Pasifika cultures, in relation to Maori language week. We wanted to create some visual representations of the wonderful cultural designs that represent our ancestors. A few of us decided to depict our own cultures (Chinese, Japanese, Scottish). Through the guidance of Mrs. Sturgiss, we spent hours analysing designs, drawing, sketching and ink rolling. The final step really allowed us to use our creative juices by strategically cutting and pasting coloured cards onto our original printed copies.
