Reedley International School primarily uses the Google Workspace for Education in its daily operations. Teachers are not the only employee group that uses Google Workspace for Education. Hence, it is essential for a member of the school to understand the basic know-hows of each application in order to be a Google Certified Educator or GCE. New hires are required to pass GCE level 1 examination while all employees are encouraged to pass GCE level 2 examination.
This training sit was created as a school-project of Mr. Pol Niño E. Laset of the PGLP Department. He hopes that you might find this site more useful and more flexible than standard training.
How to use this training site
Browse the Google Workspace products on this site in any order that you want. You might want to just peruse the task if you need a quick refresher or just skip it entirely. To the right are screenshots of what you should expect after clicking a Google product. Each will start with an introduction to what that product is all about. At the end of the introduction, you should see the different tasks about that product. Click each one to direct you to the set-by-step tutorial.
At the end of each product, you will encounter an initial assessment that will test your mastery. The questions are either multiple-choice, true or false, or a performance task. There is a quick assessment at the bottom of each subpage. Some of these assessments are multiple choice, true or false, while some items require you to perform indicated tasks.
There are two pages that I created to give you an idea of what a Google Certified Educator assessment looks like. These are GCE level 1 and level 2. The Google Form for that assessment is timed and you have to answer conceptual questions and perform some indicated tasks.
Click a Google product to start the training.
