Objectives:
At the end of this introduction, the employees should be able to:
understand the use of Google Mail;
label the parts of a Google Mail window; and
distinguish the difference between risfamily and reedleyschool domain;
Let's start with the most known Google product - the Google Mail.
is the official means of communication in the Reedley community. We have to domains, namely the REEDLEYSCHOOL and the RISFAMILY. The former is used to communicate between employees and outside business networks, while the latter is used to communicate with students and their families.
Using the Google Mail, you can send emails to people not just under the two domains but also to people outside of Reedley International School community as long as it is under the 25MB size limit.
Among the services under the Google Workspace, users are most familiar with the Google Mail since most schools and offices use emails.
Functions of Google Mail
The most function of Google Mail is, well, for sending an email. Aside from that there are various things that you can do since Google products are integrated with each other. In Google Mail, you can also:
set virtual meetings using the integrated Google Meet;
set events via the integrated Google Calendar;
create tasks using Google Tasks;
have faster communication and manage projects using Google Chat and Space; and
save important reminders using Google Keep.
Aside from texts, you can attach files in an email. Below are the file types that can be attached in your email:

XML paper specifications .xps Microsoft PowerPoint presentations .ppt and .pptx

Below is a snippet of what a GMail looks like. I have labelled each 'section' with numbers for easier presentation.
(1) the different mail boxes such as Inbox, Starred, Sent, Draft, Scheduled, and your email labels.
(2) private Chat
(3) group messaging service called as Spaces.
Observe that you can see the latest message under each Chat. Both will have boldface names when unread and you can create and pin Spaces for ease of use. Clicking each will open a panel below your browser, unread panels will be in blue while read panels are in black.
(4) Meet, which you can click to access your upcoming meetings and schedule a meeting using Google Meet.
(5) location of your emails, both unread and read.
(6) is the omnibox where you can search for emails, contacts, and attached files.
(7) Settings (where you can change the appearance and features of your Google Mail), the waffle (where you can access the other Google features), and the current Google profile that you are using .
(8) The right panel has the Google Calendar, Keep, Tasks, and Contacts.
Each section mentioned above has at least 1 task that should be known to any Reedley employee. For example, section (4) Meet is used to create meetings with your contacts. That is task #6 below.
