The Different Settings of Google Mail
Let's explore the different settings that you can adjust to your liking in Google Mail.
To start, click the gear icon found on the upper-right corner of your Google Mail. Doing so will open the quick settings where you can adjust the following:
Density - the number of emails that you can see at a time in your inbox
Theme - the background image of your Google Mail
Inbox type - Choose which emails will be placed on top. It has the following options
Default (customizable)
Important first
Unread first
Starred
Priority (customizable)
Multiple inboxes (customizable)
Reading pane - the layout of your inbox.
Email Threading - where you can group emails of the same topic together.
Click the See all settings button to access the entire settings of the Google Mail.
You can adjust the basic settings in the General Settings. Here are some of them:
The appearance of the main menu
Default language of the display
Default country code for phone numbers
The number of conversations per page. (the number of email threads at a time)
The duration of the Undo send option after sending an email.
Whether to reply to all or only to the sender
Quick access to some controls by hovering your mouse on top of an email
Show/hide "Send & Archive" button in reply
Default text style (size, color, size)
