Businesses must have appropriate first aid boxes and/or stations and a charge of teammates that hold valid first aid certification. Each location is required to have at least 1 teammate on site at all times that has a valid first aid certification from a recognized training agency. Certification is valid for 3 years and requires a recertification after that.

An exam-based training and certification program for food retail and foodservice professionals, developed in Canada based on Canadian Food Retail and Foodservice Regulation and Code, Health Canada and CFIA. Once the online course is complete, the learner must schedule a proctored exam through TrainCan. This online certification is valid for 5 years.
