CERTIFICATION PROGRAMS

Leadership Excellence Accreditation & Development

LEAD certification programs take approximately 1-3 months to complete
Assignments and content must be completed by specified dates in order to graduate the program
Content is delivered in various modalities; virtual/in-person workshops, Google classrooms, podcasts, RU Game, independent study etc.
Learners are assessed in various ways which may include:
- - 1:1s with internal subject matter experts
  - Peer activated learning groups with other learners
  - Evaluations in front of a panel of assessors

LEADing with Financial Acumen.

Understanding the Profitability Model & Influencing Financial Results

This program is designed for restaurant LEADers who are responsible for the financial performance of a restaurant. A financially healthy restaurant focuses on key aspects of the business that drive revenue and keep costs in line. By focusing on every day actions and improvements to the business, this program will coach restaurant leaders on how to read and manage restaurant financial statements, how to maximize profitability, and how to confidently tell the story of financial information to key business stakeholders such as Franchisees and BDMs.

Upon completion of this program, LEADers will be able to:

- Understand and analyze financial statements such as P&Ls

- Develop and manage budgets to control costs and maximize profits

- Analyze and forecast sales, expenses, and profit margins

- Manage cash flow to ensure adequate working capital and liquidity

- Use financial data to make informed decisions and drive business growth

3 DAY WORKSHOP (IN-PERSON)

Communicating with Confidence.

Honing Communication Skills & Executive Presence

This three-day experience is designed to equip participants with skills to craft impactful presentations, communicate effectively, and project confidence in professional settings.

Upon completion of this program, LEADers will be able to:

- Structure slides for clarity and engagement

- Practice design basics to create professional, cohesive slides

- Tailor visuals to audience and expectations

- Complete pre-work for the upcoming 2 day workshop

- Tailor content identifying and addressing key audience priorities

- Organize ideas logically to capture attention and retain focus

- Practice highlighting most important points to maximize delivery, clarity and impact

- Develop confidence to project authority and credibility

- Improve vocal tone, pace, body language

- Practice skills to read the room, adapt in real time, and foster trust and rapport

Participants are nominated by their SLT member.

3 DAY WORKSHOP (IN-PERSON)

Fundamental Leadership Skills.

Develop Management, Leadership & Business Acumen

This three-day leadership training program through Schulich ExecEd is designed to equip

people leaders with the skills, tools and knowledge needed to lead their teams

effectively. This program will provide comprehensive training in key areas such as

leadership, communication, team management, performance coaching, time

management and goal setting techniques.

Upon completion of this program, LEADers will be able to:

- Enhance manager effectiveness

- Increase employee engagement and retention

- Boost team performance

- Enhance communication across teams

- Foster a positive work environment

Participants are nominated by their SLT member.
