The narrator in Prison Healer is an anonymous narrator who writes from the third person omniscient perspective. The narrator knows the characters lives and feelings while describing the situation without placing an opinion. The narrator also knows how everything in the story is connected and how the characters' emotions evolve. For example, when you look at the text, you can easily see how the narrator reveals the plot without speaking from a first person perspective. The narrator only writes from Kiva”s perspective and reveals only her thoughts and emotions. By doing this the narrator only reveals Kiva’s emotions while still hiding what the other characters are feeling.
